25 February 2021

Presentation and launch of the report Roots of Resilience: How CAP, Farm to Fork, and land policies can support an agroecological transition in Europe

This webinar was the last in a series of webinars on land strategies in Europe. It presents a new report, released by the Nyéléni Europe and Central Asia food sovereignty movement in collaboration with the members of the Innovative Land Strategies partnership. The report argues for an approach to land policy in Europe based on a model of land stewardship and agroecology as key components of a sustainable agriculture model and resilient food system in Europe.

Various pathways are laid out for securing this at local, national and European levels, including through opportunities provided by the new CAP, the European Green Deal, and the Farm to Fork Strategy. This report makes a number of recommendations for how agroecology and democratic land control can take root in Europe. These recommendations will be presented during the webinar.

The full report is freely available in English on this website.
