Access To Land

United Kingdom
Scottish Farm Land Trust

The Scottish Farm Land Trust aims to increase access to land for small-scale, ecological agriculture by purchasing land to be held in trust and rented fairly to new entrants and young people.

We are a new organisation and are registering as a Community benefit society (BenCom) - i.e. an incorporated industrial and provident society (IPS) that conducts business for the benefit of its community - in 2018. We hope to build up our organisation to make our first purchase of land in 2020.

In 2017, we published our first report: Wanted: Land for New Farmers, based on a broad survey of prospective farmers and landowners.
