A workshop on Financing Farmland Acquition for community-based land inititives supporting agroecological farming.
On 1st July 2013, the Biodyanmic Land Trust and the Soil Association hosted a workshop on Financing Land Acquisition. The workshop included presentations on land partnerships and legal frameworks, financing farmland acquisition, the economic aspects of farmland ownership and making small community owned farms viable.
Attendees included a group of European organisations which were part to a Grundtvig Partnership on access to land, as well as new, existing and retiring farmers, trainees and apprentices from the Soil Association training scheme, farmer support organisations, advisors, researchers, journalists, ethical finance institutions and other business people.
