Farm Step

Join a growing community of green businesses!

At the Earth Trust Farm in Oxfordshire we have a number of businesses producing food and other products and selling locally. Our Farm Step initiative is based on sustainable land management, where economically viable and independent businesses thrive. If you aspire to be a farmer or entrepreneur and you would like to set up a green business with us, please get in touch!

Farm Step is specifically targeted at people who are currently locked out of farming by land price and availability, or lack of skills. At the Earth Trust we offer land with favourable tenancy agreement terms, as well as the chance to work alongside a community of other like-minded green businesses. New businesses are practically and financially independent of the Trust.

Earth Trust is inviting proposals from prospective businesses for use of land and infrastructure on our 500ha site in South Oxfordshire. In addition to presenting a credible business case, Farm Step entrants will be selected against three criteria: Sustainable living, Linking people, food & farming and Earth Trust community.
If you'd like to find out more or already have your own proposal please email Adam Reid, Farm Step Officer; adam.reid@earthtrust.org.uk
