The city of Granollers is helping in preserving and revitalizing the agriculural landscape and local economy of the historical area of Palou. The overall goals of the plan are the following ones:

– Boosting access to land. We want to attract new producers with viable projects in a metropolitan area.
– Increasing irrigated farming areas.
– Diversifying production and increasing the added value of farming products.
– Increasing the number of economic activities compatible with the agricultural area.
– We try to facilitate agreements between entrepreneurs and owners, and we are defining strategies to facilitate the starting and the feasibility of new projects.
