The agricultural cooperative Co.r.ag.gio (Courage): COoperativa Romana AGricoltura GIOvani, which in English means “Roman Agricultural Cooperative of Youth) has encouraged citizens and institutions to be aware of the environmental heritage abandoned in the agricultural outskirts of the city of Rome as part of the Roman Movement for Access to Land. In 2014 the Movement stimulated the announcements of a public examination for access to the public land in Rome and Lazio region and, thanks to this, the Co.r.ag.gio. now manages 22 hectares of land in Rome.
The farm is just beginning from scratch, but we are committed to developing an agricultural urban model that is healthy, organic, multi-functional, replacing the degraded concrete buildings with a new way of living, based on ecological concerns, on respecting the labour dignity, and on the social meaning of agriculture.
