Data on land issues in Europe are scarce, hard to find and often difficult to use. While agricultural statistics are rather well developed, land is only little covered by statistics at EU and country levels. Many aspects such as land use, land concentration, soil fertility or tenancy regimes are not adequately studied and monitored. In some cases, data exist but are hard to find because they are not compiled on a European level, or it is hard to establish meaningful comparisons across countries or over time.
We have explored European statistics and studies to develop a series of 12 infographics highlighting facts and issues of securing land for agroecological farming in Europe. We also provide the full sources for these infographics.
